How This Application Works:

The T/Mon NOC is a rack mounted, -48V dual feed, Pentium computer that will be responsible for collecting, filtering, categorizing & presenting alarms, maintaining history, alphanumeric paging and e-mail notification. This solution provides the highest level of local alarm visibility.

Alarm viewing will take several forms including our embedded web browser support facility. This interface is incredibly easy to use and will provide network visibility to your staff provided they are given the access rights by your system administrator. Other remote access will be provided using our T/Windows software. This software can be loaded on multiple PC's and is ideal for technicians and other members of your staff to view alarms from remote locations over LAN, direct connect or dial up. One of the most powerful features of the T/Mon NOC is its ability to mediate alarms to other protocols.

The SNMP Agent Software module will give the T/Mon Master Station the ability to convert incoming TL1 alarms to SNMP and ultimately send the alarms via SNMP to your SNMP Manager. This software module supports traps as well as query and control commands. The SNMP Trap Processor Software Module will give your T/Mon Master Station the ability to receive SNMP traps from network elements and convert them to standardized T/Mon alarms so you will be able to view them. This will result in a very powerful SNMP manager, as T/Mon will be able to accept DCPx from DPS remotes and monitor your other SNMP devices as well. This software module will support V1 as well as V2 devices and is very simple to use. Simply compile the MIB onto the T/Mon Master Station, select the rules for how you want to see those alarms and you've integrated those into the system.

The T/Mon History Agent will provide your T/Mon NOC to save/export historical alarm data to traditional SQL based applications. This software module is ideal for maintaining very long-term event history as well as being a platform that allows users to create their own custom report in their native environments. It also provides a great mechanism to interface with other applications that require current system status. This software module will run on a separate PC under Windows 2000/XP/NT and will work alongside with the Alarm Data Streaming Software Module. The Alarm Data Streaming Software Module will enable your T/Mon NOC to output alarm activity in near real time to T/Mon History Agent on a Windows based PC. The T/Mon History Agent will subsequently make this data available via SQL queries. The SQL database can be compiled by ODBC compliant programs, such as Microsoft Access and Excel. This will allow you to customize your alarm reports to include trending and visual charts.

The T/Mon NRI Synchronization Software Module will be used to synchronize databasing between T/Mon systems in a redundant HOT standby application. This is an integral part of any network disaster-recovery plan. This software will allow the two systems to communicate over LAN so that the secondary system will have current status of standing alarms and COS's as the primary master processes them. In the event of a primary failure, the secondary will assume monitoring responsibility and will present to the user current alarm information.

The Building Access package consits of an ECU (Entry Control Unit) and Exterior large keypad. The ECU acts as the main interface between the door keypads and the T/Mon NOC. It will report entry and exit information in addition to sending alarm notification in the event of attempted false entry. It can support up to two keypads used in an entrance and exit configuration per door. It will also be responsible for accepting the door sensor input and will contain the relay that drives the strike plate (your choice between 12V and 24V). Please note that this unit is designed to work independently of the master station so if communication is lost it will still be able to make local entry decisions.
