This solution will replace the IRIS and distributed legacy remotes with a distributed network of super remotes (the NetMediator Serial Alarm Mediation platforms). NetCool would continue to provide primary alarm visibility but the functionality of the IRIS system and the distributed remotes would be merged into the NetMediator-SAM units. Collectively this will flatten the system architecture as well as upgrading alarm telemetry to contemporary & easily administrable standards.
This application is for the 64 point version of the NetMediator on the G5 platform, along with the 64 point Expansion unit to replace your DS9000s and report directly to your NetCool manager. There is no minimum quantity that will be needed to be purchased in order to facilitate the engineering of the new NetMediator G5 platform.
