Forward Alarms to your Telenium MOM (Manager of Managers)

How This Application Works:

Equipment Used:
  • Telenium MOM (MegaSys)
  • Protection Switches
  • T/Mon NOC
This solution includes a brand new off-the-shelf T/Mon NOC and a few more software elements. This will be an excellent way to collect alarms and forward them to your Telenium SNMP MOM (Manager of Managers). We have added the Auto Databasing ASCII and SQL software. Also, to allow your new T/Mon NOCs to take full advantage of the possible 1200 Windows available, we have included 240 Windows and 690 Windows. Add these to your current 270 Windows, and you will gain that 1200 Windows.

It is not necessary to swap out Protection Switches in order to place in the new T/Mon NOC's. You will be able to use the same Protection Switches with the newly deployed T/Mon NOC's.

We have also included the NRI Synchronization Module. This software module will allow the T/Mon NOC's to communicate and synchronize the alarm data between the three (3) units.

One of the most beneficial qualities of the T/Mon NOC is its dramatic increase in its processor speed, which is at the very least, 4 times faster than earlier models. This means that screens respond faster and the system can handle larger loads.

Another key improvement is the way the T/Mon NOC communications interfaces work. The old, inside the unit, "Docking Modules" of the IAM-5 have evolved into easy to access "Interface Cartridges" that are located on rear of the unit. The T/Mon NOC maintains a suite of interface cartridges for your various electrical interfaces, but it also has variants with different types of connection termination. The interface cartridges here are pin for pin compatible with existing DPS master platforms, so you should be able to use the same cables. Cutovers can’t get much simpler.

The 3 seven segment LED’s have been replaced with a 2 line LCD display providing additional useful information such as Firmware Version, system time, and IP address (if you provision it for that). One other notable departure from the IAM-5 design is that it uses the same hardware security device that is used in the T/Mon Workstation.

Last, but not least, the newly introduced backup hard drive and mirroring function allows your T/Mon NOC to keep monitoring in cases of a single hard drive failure. Upon such a failure, you will be notified, and the system will quickly and automatically reconstruct the data on the replacement drive once installed.

The T/Mon NOC will be compatible with several accessories to make local access more convenient. One of which is a flat screen display (powered from the T/Mon NOC) and keyboard.
