New Product Announcement: DPS Telecom's T/Mon NOC Delivers Secure Web Access to Network Monitoring Data from Any Computer, Anywhere

FRESNO, CA, April 27, 2005 - DPS Telecom announced today the release of the new HTTPS Secure Web Server Software Module for the T/Mon NOC Remote Alarm Monitoring System. The new software enables T/Mon users to view and acknowledge telecom network alarms over the same secure Web connection used for online sales and banking.

The Secure Web Server adds 128-bit Secure Socket Layer encryption to the existing Web interface of DPS's widely deployed T/MonXM alarm monitoring platform. T/Mon NOC administrators can safely permit users to access the T/Mon system from the public Internet, without any risk of data being intercepted.

Secure Web access is the ideal alarm monitoring interface for on-call technicians who need to view alarm details from home; technicians who need to verify alarms and corrections from remote sites; supervisors who need to check network status from their desks or from the road.

DPS Telecom developed the HTTPS Secure Web Server Software Module in response to new best practice standards from corporate policymakers and regulatory bodies recommending that network equipment be secured from open Internet access.

"T/Mon has numerous security features, but the HTTPS Software Module gives you an added layer of security," said Eric Storm, DPS Telecom Executive Vice President.

"If you use the Web Browser Interface to access your T/Mon from your home, then I strongly recommend you use the HTTPS module. And if you work for a company that has security procedures for accessing equipment over IP, the HTTPS module should put you in compliance," Storm added.

The HTTPS Secure Web Server Software Module is available for any T/Mon NOC, T/MonLT, IAM-5, IAM or T/MonXM WorkStation system running T/MonXM version 4.5B or later. Users who need to upgrade to T/MonXM 4.5 should call 1-800-693-0351 to order.

Secure Web Access adds yet another capability to T/Mon NOC, the most capable network alarm monitoring system available today. Among T/Mon's other productivity-enhancing features are:

  • Detailed alarm notifications giving specific instructions for correcting network alarms.
  • Automated alarm sorting and filtering.
  • User-defined custom alarms integrating multiple alarm inputs, date/time factors and alarm correction by automatic remote control.

T/Mon NOC is backed by a two-year hardware warranty and a no-risk, money-back guarantee.

A full description of T/Mon NOC, including a complete list of supported protocols and devices, can be seen on the DPS Telecom Web site at www.dpstelecom.com/tmon.
