Reserve Your Seat TodayTroubleshooting SNMP and maximizing your value with DPS
SNMP is a protocol that, by its very nature, is supposed to be simple to setup and deploy in network elements. Theory and reality, however, are not always the same thing. Recognizing this, our SNMP subject matter experts have gotten together and created a new white paper that covers the most common issues that prevent SNMP implementations from working properly. If you are new to SNMP or are having problems with a particular deployment, I highly recommend downloading our new white paper: Practical Guide to SNMP Troubleshooting.
Along the same lines, we have also created a series of "Techno Knowledge Papers" that address the most common configuration issues that our master & alarm remote user base encounters. The first paper, featured in this newsletter, takes you step-by-step through the most convenient method of acquiring updated firmware for your entire NetGuardian network.
In this issue, we'll also drop in on Range Telephone Cooperative, who currently has their network monitored by VisionNet (a third-party alarm management provider). We'll see how Range leveraged VisionNet's T/Mon to gain better insight into their network.
At DPS, we are all about providing monitoring solutions that maximize value for our clients. Much of this value is realized in the form of ongoing updates and services. We encourage all of our clients to take advantage of all that is available to them. In this issue, you'll see some of the major updates that you may have missed out on if you haven't upgraded your NetGuardian in the last 12 months. Also, all of you that have T/Mon Gold Plan maintenance agreements are entitled to a factory training session at DPS. If you haven't been to training yet, there are still a few seats left in our December class. We've also posted our 2007 training calendar on our website so you can start planning for next year.
