As a Protocol reader, you see the latest developments in DPS Telecom RTU technology. The DPS Engineering Team adds new hardware or software features just about every week. Several new RTU models are introduced each year.
While you've likely seen several new RTUs and features you could use to improve your network monitoring, you might be having trouble justifying an upgrade. After all, your older-generation NetGuardians and other DPS RTUs are probably still running smoothly.
But you can't keep your network monitoring capabilities frozen in the same technology forever. You need a way to apply some of your existing investment toward new RTUs, and now you have one.
The new DPS Telecom RTU upgrade program allows you to receive a 30% credit toward a new RTU purchase by sending your old RTU back to DPS.
This upgrade program is very flexible. If you have a NetGuardian 216 G2 deployment and you want to upgrade to the G3 model for its enhanced web interface, that's a great upgrade to make. You could upgrade non-LAN KDA 864 remotes to the modern, LAN-based NetGuardian 864 G5. You could even upgrade from the NetGuardian 832A G2 to the G5 model, which would provide several new technologies and benefits.
But if some of your sites have grown, you might decide to upgrade the NetGuardian 216's at those sites to NetGuardian 832A's. When you upgrade to a more expensive unit than your existing RTU, you'll receive 30% of the old price in credit. If you upgrade to a less expensive unit, you'll receive 30% of the new price. This credit may NOT be used in conjunction with annual discount or unit quantity discounts.
