Sign up for the next DPS Factory Training!
Whether you're new to our equipment or you've used it for years, DPS factory training is the best way to get more from your monitoring.
Reserve Your Seat TodayWhen you're researching the purchase of telecom equipment, you have a lot to think about. The decisions you'll make for your organization are hugely significant for the next 10-15 years, at least. They can also affect your personal career progress.
Let's take a look at some of the uncommon things we provide at DPS to give you some context for your purchase planning. My examples will tend to focus on remote site monitoring devices at times, because that's what we manufacture. Still, all of what I'm about to discuss with you applies just as well to any significant business purchase in a telecom or IT context.
We provide remote site monitoring equipment that has been designed and manufactured to very high standards. Our goal is to ensure that, even after you've used our product for several years, it will still perform as well as it did on day one.
This can actually frustrating for us in the DPS Sales Department, as it's sometimes hard to sell upgrades when "your devices are still working fine." On balance, however, I'd rather have happy clients than browbeaten clients forced to upgrade due to forced obsolescence.
To consistently achieve this, we use advanced manufacturing techniques such as robotic assembly and automated quality testing. This minimizes the chance of a human error while simultaneously improving pre-shipment error detection.
At DPS, we're continually updating technology to deliver solutions that meet the evolving demands of the telecom industry. You've seen this as we evolved from serial and dialers to SNMP to SNMPv3.
While many of our industry peers offer newer tech, what is unusual is our commitment to helping you mediate legacy tech into your new monitoring systems.
We understand that, in the telecom world, you need to bridge the gap between old and new tech. You don't have the luxury of completely replacing every piece of equipment overnight. So, we look for ways to provide an easy transition path from legacy systems to modern monitoring architectures.
At DPS, we don't expect or demand that you be like every other client. We understand that your specific requirements are unique. With our in-house engineers, we provide solutions that are custom-tailored around your needs.
We offer many customization options in our products, including specialized software packages and firmware versions customized for the type of monitoring system you need to build. We can also customize hardware components with special serial ports, power options, and antennas.
Equipment is "worse than useless" if your team doesn't know how to use it. All they'll do is waste time and energy and get nothing done.
That's why we go beyond just providing equipment. We also offer comprehensive training to ensure you get the most out of your investment. Our hands-on training sessions equip you with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage and maintain your network.
You can choose either our regularly scheduled factory training taught at DPS headquarters in California or purchase on-site training at your own facility. While on-site training is always more convenient than "free" training at our headquarters, there are cases where paid training is "cheaper than free".
For most clients who are not located within an hour's drive of Fresno, California, I advise that it's actually less expensive to hire us for on-site training if more than 3-4 students will be trained. 4 plane tickets and 4 hotel rooms for 4-5 nights add up quickly. Of course, depending on where you're based and the season of the year, your staff might enjoy a visit to central California.
It's always interesting to me that some technology manufacturers view technical support as a revenue source. At DPS, tech support is included with your purchase. We also staff our support lines from our engineering department at headquarters.
That makes a huge difference, because you get people who know the product inside and out when you call for help.
Plus, our team is equally adept at helping with software integration questions as they are hardware troubleshooting. We like to think of it as providing "one number to call" and "no blame game" tech support.
DPS offers competitive pricing on telecom equipment with a goal of driving down your total cost of ownership. Making equipment in America isn't the cheapest strategy we could have chosen, but reducing your labor cost for install and use can make our gear cheaper than a "budget option".
At DPS, we understand that every installation adds complexity to your operations. Each new device introduces factors such as compatibility, interoperability, and maintenance considerations. To help you streamline your operations and reduce the total cost of ownership, we strategically bundle multiple functions into one box.
This means, instead of purchasing and installing various individual devices, you can leverage a single DPS solution that integrates a variety of functions. Our all-in-one devices are meticulously engineered to perform multiple tasks, minimizing your need to invest in separate, specialized units.
The benefits of this approach are twofold. Firstly, it cuts down your number of installs, thereby reducing your labor costs and shortening the setup time. Secondly, it reduces the number of purchases you need to make, curtailing your capital expenditure.
By consolidating functions into one box, we not only simplify your telecom equipment landscape but also drive down the total cost of your operations. This is another way DPS is committed to delivering powerful, cost-effective solutions tailored to the unique needs of your business.
If you're looking for a reliable partner to help bring your remote monitoring project to life, look no further than DPS. Our team is ready to provide the expertise and support you need for success.
